back from the europe tour briefing. met some of the other travellers and they were mostly couples, majority middle-aged. i suppose they didnt think bringing their children along would be the best thing. there was a very irritating, bossy aunty there who kept shouting bossy things to the person giving the briefing. 'What, Verona isnt compulsory? they should make going to Verona compulsory!' 'I just realized that at the top of the Swiss Alps, the air there would be very thin. People should bring inhalers.Yes, they should.' The nicest-looking people there (or, sanest, less fussy people there) were an Indian couple. turns out my mom knows the indian guy,'cos they're both in the education line. huh.
anyway, guess what? European hotels suck. please don't argue with me about this point. no matter how beautiful the scenery out of your window is, you have to accept these terrible points:
a)they don't provide towels.
b)or boilers. you have to bring your own boiler/kettle.
c)you
must tip. at least two euros.
d)they don't have porters. so sorry if you have a lot of big bags and lugguages.
and also,
e)in Italy, where it is supposedly hot now, you can't wear sleeveless shirts or miniskirts, at least when you visit churches.
f)the police there will be checking your handbags anytime, anywhere.
g)there is a very high rate of thieving and pickpocketing.
now, why can't i have a wallet like the one Hagrid sent to Harry Potter? the furry one with teeth?
i thought the world of you
